Yes, but you'll pay an increased price for the new enviro-contraption. And if they "throttle down" the stove enough, it'll be harder for a smaller stove to heat an entire house. So you'll have to buy a pricier and bigger stove.

Sounds like a damn good reason to build or buy a wood-gasifier.

Low tech, practically no emissions, blue flame, you can fuel and run an engine with it.
