So why are you not voting for Reasor or Cope in the primaries?
We’re just going to have to disagree. You’re ascribing supernatural abilities to McCaskill. I know you’re a disgruntled Steelman supporter, but there’s no need to rip down a good man because he made a mistake.
Any Texas Voters
Have you heard of or observed the turnout at any of the early voting locations?
Give us any input you may have.
“Scary ideologue” ? What ? He was a dedicated Conservative with an excellent record, and MANY Conservatives were supportive of his run and nomination. I’m one of them.
Of the three I observed earlier in a recon run in NW Austin (Cedar Park), the CP Library was covered in at least a hundred campaign signs, with cars going in and out, and the grocery store Randalls three miles away had half the machines being voted on. There were two Stovall signs at Randalls, and no Stockman signs anywhere.
Tomorrow I will be an another early voting location - work - all day and will report.
My apologies. I had intended to put "Scare Quotes" around that term, but I see that I forgot to do so.
Beyond that, the left regards a lot of people as "Scary Ideologues" that I find to be perfectly reasonable and normal.
The biggest problem with Todd Akin is that he didn't realize that "reporters" are nothing but propaganda agents for the left, and they are always looking to find something which they can use to portray their political opponents as extreme.
Every Republican candidate should understand that the Reporters may smile to your face and shake your hand, but deep in their heart they hate you, they want to destroy you, and they will stab you in the chest if you give them half a chance.
Akin should have realized instantly that the question was a deliberate attempt to get him to say something which they could use to paint him as an extremist.
I’ve said before that many Conservative GOP candidates for office ought to go to candidate school (or that our side should set one up) in order to train candidates how to deal with loaded questions and how to deflect them (and remind them, as you said, that the media is not their friend — they’re merely the propaganda wing of the Democrat Party).
They normally are covered by signs as they consolidate into just a few locations.
It will be interesting to see the numbers when they are published on the SOS website.
My site even writes the # of votes cast the previous day on a chart on the wall for the two weeks.
I think I’ll ask tomorrow and throughout the EV cycle as to daily turnout ups or downs.
What’s aggravating me is what if football recruiting were reversed, the teams asking the fans to go out and vote on recruits, giving absolutely no hints as to who they wish were recruited? That might be a bad analogy but I personally believe endorsements *count*. We’re trying to add to the TEA team here, and we’d sniff out the remotest hint or wink.
Since we’re all presuming SOMEONE will force Cornyn into runoff, we’re voting for our next Senator blind! Can we get a little help, here?
Starting either tomorrow or the next day the SOS will post the numbers voting in person
and by mail ballots for the largest 15 counties. It is by total votes and not by party.
It was a very short ad and I didn’t cringe at it - it was no big deal. To each his own about the ad.
My site, Lakeway, is almost entirely red. So it’s a good barometer for changes in turnout.
I know Todd Staples personally, worked for him in an election and he is steadfast, smart, speaks well, tough as nails, never stops working, and is non amnesty, pro gun and pro horses and pro TEXAS and would kick Hussein Obama in the butt. I heard him dress down an opponent one time, and he verbally fractured that man and told me later he had to do it. I was with him at the Texas capital when he was sworn in as state senator. He continued to win every election for every office he wanted and there was good reason - he is Texas in his bones. You can trust him to do what he says.
He was a state representative, then senator, and was Agriculture commissioner and his degree is in Agriculture, graduated with honors from Texas A&M. Click on the link and click around his website - if guns scare you, don't go there. :o)
>> Im not voting for Cornyn and you can bite me punk!
Between bestintxas and you, Din Maker nOOb boy, one of you is indeed a punk.
And it’s not bestintxas, so I guess that leaves you, boy.
You’d better lose a couple pounds of snot and attitude, pronto, nOOb.
You’re up to no good the way you’re headed.
I wonder if Dwayne is aware this punk is representing him/GOTVing for him?
Do I smell a Roider?
>> Do I smell a Roider?
After studying the newbie’s posts, I’m picking up that same scent.
I voted early today in the Republican primary. The dim primary table was empty of voters. There were two lines signed on the first page. About three or four pages in the Republican and that was before 10 AM.
Lots of interesting political commentary here from folks who can’t spell Todd Akin’s name correctly.
The guy got railroaded by the left-wing media. And naturally the GOP-E wasn’t there to help him. They never are, when the left goes after decent conservatives.
Yup...
Yeah, I'm a disgruntled Steelman supporter because thanks to a bone-headed candidate I'm stuck with McCaskill for another term. That would disgruntle anyone.
...but theres no need to rip down a good man because he made a mistake.
That's like saying there's no need to rip Romney because he made a mistake. Both men took winnable races and pissed them away. If that isn't worthy of ripping then what is?
