For some reason this reminded me of the great debate that driving on the right side of the road causes more tornadoes because it creates a small whirlwind similar to a tornado when cars meet on the road. The phenomenon might be the seed for tornadoes. This safety issue caused a national movement for us to drive on the left side of the road.

Doubtful since wind energy production is 10^21 Joules which is 10 times less than a day of sunshine. Considering that a lot of wind results from that sunshine, I don't think there is any effect.
