This anal orifice just announced that NYC schools will be open, meaning that teachers and students will have to transport themselves during a vicious Nor'easter storm to schools guaranteed to hold only about 50% of students at best. Then transport themselves home through the Nor'easter once again to find no parking spaces on their street. School should not be open in the midst of a raging storm, with public transportation certain to be disrupted. Even the National Weather Service states that:

* HAZARD TYPES...HEAVY SNOW. * ACCUMULATIONS...SNOW ACCUMULATION OF 8 TO 12 INCHES. * WINDS...NORTH 15 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 40 MPH. * TEMPERATURES...LOWER 30S. * VISIBILITIES...ONE QUARTER TO ONE HALF MILE AT TIMES. * TIMING...SNOW WILL DEVELOP LATE TONIGHT AND CONTINUE DURING THE DAY THURSDAY BEFORE TAPERING OFF THURSDAY NIGHT. SLEET AND RAIN WILL LIKELY MIX WITH THE SNOW DURING THE LATE MORNING AND AFTERNOON HOURS THURSDAY. * IMPACTS...SNOWFALL WILL MAKE TRAVEL TREACHEROUS. IN ADDITION... HEAVY...WET SNOW MAY CAUSE SOME WEAK...FLAT ROOF STRUCTURES TO COLLAPSE AND TREE BRANCHES WILL BE SUSCEPTIBLE TO FALLING.

I am just so totally p@@ssed off at the prospect of driving under very dangerous conditions to school and then back because this extremist @ss declares it's all right to do so. Even the NYC Bored of Ed webpage states (are you KIDDING me?????):
