Former Democratic leader in the State House and current Pueblo County Commissioner Buffie McFadyen was the recipient of some special treatment by police during a potential DUI stop in Pueblo. She was caught in a rather awkward situation — parked in a dirt lot at night, intoxicated and with a man who isn’t her husband. But she didn’t get a DUI – instead she got a ride home.
But, it gets even better. We have subsequently learned that McFadyen and her companion, the head of the Pueblo Democratic Party Ron Greenwell weren’t just drinking buddies. According to KRDO, they may or may not also be nudists? We couldn’t even make this stuff up, folks, if we tried.

Buffie McFadyen and Pueblo County Democratic Chairman Ron Greenwell were discovered by Sheriff’s deputies sitting in Greenwell’s car. The pair was suspected of being intoxicated but the car was not running ...
McFadyen, who was sitting in the passenger sea, was not given a Breathalyzer but Greenwell was and blew a .14, well above the legally drunk limit of .08.
Both were encouraged to call a ride and Buffie called her husband Troy Manchego. When Manchego arrived one of the deputies asked him for his license. Manchego said he had forgotten it. As per procedure the deputy called dispatch with Manchego’s name and date of birth.
About 90 seconds later the dispatcher reported the license for Manchego was suspended but the couple had already left
