This "Voluntary Surrender" of the law license issue has already undergone the Magic Obama Obfuscatory Mechanism (MOOM).
Here 's the simple version as known in 2007. During the ONLY case Barack Hussein Obama handled on his own, a complaint of some sort was made to the Bar. Bottom Line: End of the Day; When Push Came to Shove, and any other suitable methaphor, simile, or analogy, young Barry was asked to permanently surrender his law license or face a Bar hearing. As is normal in these cases (ask your own lawyer) the miscreant goes on his way outside of the profession, and all details are sealed. Barack (or Barak) didn't care to go public.

an opposing lawyer read (unlike the alleged author) the "autobiography," compared it to the Illinois Bar App, which was publicly available at the time (no longer) and apprised the Bar Committee of the multiple discrepancies.
Now let us turn to other lawyer in the family, who actually had better legal bona fides than her sweet hubby. We speak of Michelle (aka, the missing Williams Sister.) In her case, she was ORDERED off the bar by a judge when a client committed insurance fraud during a trial. She actually didn't know, so ... she could theoretically be re-instated after jumping through some hoops. Nowadays, it is put out by the regime that she too, "Voluntarily surrendered" her law license.
