After the SOTU the Republicans met for a retreat on the Eastern Shore of MD. Boehner and the rest of the ‘leadership’ heard from the ‘rank and file’ Representatives. I don’t think that Rush is responsible for the change in plans re immigration reform. It was those men and women elected by TEA party conservatives who convinced Boehner to say what he said about Obama.

Of course any victory, no matter how small, for the real conservatives will not be reported in the press.

That also makes sense. Or its very possible it was a series of events all giving us a perfect storm that killed Boehner's hopes of pimping for his multi-national sponosors and job-holders.He and his GOPe buddies have to have somewhere to go after their political careers ar over. You could be absolutely right. Or it could be all of the above. If anything all three will reinforce the message of stay the hell away from immigration mr. Speaker!!
