Japanese Broadcast Official: We Didn’t Commit War Crimes, the U.S. Just Made That Up

Posted on 02/08/2014 8:32:51 AM PST by chessplayer

In the clearest signal yet of U.S. unhappiness with the rightward tilt of Japan’s political leadership — and by extension, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe — the U.S. embassy in Tokyo has strongly condemned charges by a top official at Japan’s national public broadcaster that Americans fabricated war crimes against Japanese leaders during World War II in order to cover up American atrocities.

The charges were made this week by Naoki Hyakuta, a nationalist writer and close friend of Abe, who was recently appointed to the board of governors of the Japan Broadcasting Corp., commonly known as NHK.

In campaign speeches on behalf of a far-right candidate for the governorship of Tokyo, Hyakuta claimed that the infamous Nanjing Massacre in 1937 never occurred, and that Americans staged the postwar trials of Japanese leaders to cover up U.S. war crimes. He said those crimes included the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki and the mass firebombings of Tokyo.

One of the most liberal mouthpieces in the world’s putting this out - and expecting the response they’re getting.

??? This article is a lie? We’re all ears if you can disprove it.

I am glad that I lived in an era of relative peace and prosperity. I fear for the terror my children and their children will have to endure though.

When the US falls (and in my opinion it WILL fall) the greatest looting, rape and pillaging in the history of mankind will ensue.

And the greatest irony? the liberals will be the first lined up against the walls for the firing squads.

Indeed they don’t teach the truth in Japan.

I have been to Pearl Harbor many times, and every time i go, I see groups of stunned and humiliated Japanese Tourists leaving the park, often with tears in their eyes.

The Ranger told me this is a regular occurance there.

“the greatest looting, rape and pillaging in the history of mankind will ensue.”

I agree with you there except on the timing, it is already happening.

Funny, I was talking about something in the news this AM and my wife said I agree with you, this place is not beyond saving. I had noted that according to the press, Harvard has a director of Hip Hop Music in some kind of hip hop acedemic program. I was so flabergasted by that, I could not finish my cereal.

Japs denying war crimes just REALLY pisses me off! Guess they didn't learn enough the first go-round.

Let's just drop a couple more big ones on their ass and watch how quick they change their tune.

If you want an idea what life was like for Americans who were in Japanese POW camps, read this book...

I was amazed to discover this fact about American POWs, revealed by Hillenbrand in her book "Unbroken": Only 1% of those who were held by the Germans and the Italians died...but 37% of American POWs held by the Japanese died.

Jap camps were very very bad.

Good book, too.

The current crop of Japanese are merely taking advantage of the collapse of American morale and its ongoing and soon to be completed defeat by the "Third World."

The Indians were only defying white feelings of superiority at the Little Big Horn and Custer got what he deserved; your ancestor owned slaves white devil, Japan was and is a victim of American capitalist greed, Hitler had a mean daddy and America wanted to seize German technical advances. All American thought is permeated with right wing extremism, capitalistic, homophobic, anti-female, racist attitudes and most Americans deserve to die a horrible lingering death.

No, just saying your dad is mistaken. Who is your dad going to believe? Naoki Hyakuta, or his own lyin’ eyes?

Why do the LEFT WING organs always lead with “rightward tilt” and other accusations like this? It is why I don’t read their crap.

I have come to the conclusion that the natural state of man is war.

The only thing that keeps us from perpetual war... is the threat of force from an even greater power. For the last century, that power was the US.

Liberals (in this country and worldwide) have succeeded in neutering our power, and have in the process unleashed chaos, a chaos that will consume the world and leave it a smoking ash heap.

The Japanese were PROUD of their “commitment” to the war effort, and took thousands of photos of their atrocities.

I just Bing image searched “rape of nanking Japanese army atrocities” and look at all of the photos that come up.

Sore losers got their azzes kicked.

If not for what we did for them after the war, their economy would be worse than Haiti’s.

My Dad was a Navy Photographer, so I grew up with the photographic evidence.

Seriously.

Imagine looking at unpublished photos of the War in the Pacific as a part of one’s family heritage.
