by standing on principles rather than surrendering at drop of a hat. In 16 years even FDR could not get everything he wanted even through SC and he got to change all the members. Watch the cave on immigration even though only 3% of the folks think it is a priority. They cannot wait to wave their white flags in surrender rather than listen to the people.

You can stand on principles all you want but without the votes, you might as well be peeing your pants in a dark suit. It gives you a warm feeling but no one notices.

Dick Armey and Paul Ryan endorsed Sasse. Both of them are amnesty supporters.

Sasse will be useless in the Senate if he is another Jeff Flake.

Johanns and Deb Fischer have pretty conservative ratings but she voted against amnesty and managed to upset McCain which was important.

I think Fischer had a record in State senate voting against the Dream Act.
