Especially when you include the whole continent. You got certain groups like Filipinos, Hmong and others that would be hardcore democrat. Schafly even had a poll that Koreans support Obamacare.
People assume all hardworking people will swing towards Republicans. White ethnics voted Democrat for 50 years well up until Nixon and Reagan. That was in a time of assimilation and lowered immigration between 1924 and 1972.
You are mistaken about Filipinos.
According to a Pew Research poll released just before the 2012 election, Filipinos vote Republican more than any other Asian group.
But that news is still not good - only 45% of Filipinos vote for Republicans.
The most Socialistic Asian group is a complete shock to most people - Asian Indians voted more than 90% for Obama.
