So, this will go into effect before the pile of dung leaves office. My current vehicle is 5 years old. I am approaching 70 so my next vehicle will probably be my last I buy. It will be a 2016 for sure.
This won’t be mandated for a while. They are trying to get it approved before Obama
leaves office and then it will take some time to implement into all cars. jmo.
Some autos already have Lane Warning devices to let you know when you get to
close to the lane marker. They beep or some use a viberation in the
drivers seat. Some slow down if you are using cruise and are gaining on a
vehicle in front of you in order to match their speed. All these take
some getting used to.
