Yeah, “provider” is a nice fudge word that hospitals and insurers can use to dazzle the patients. I went to Medical School, NOT “Provider” school.

Only because doctors let it happen. It is not acceptable to me, a patient. Everyone who provides services of any type is a provider. My mechanic is a provider.

I think you would be offended if you had married a doctor. “Provider” is one of those mealy-mouthed terms that serves to put everyone in a Marxist stew, a leveling of everyone , except the overseers of course.
