It paralyzed the city for nearly a week, the roads were closed, and much of the city was without electricity. A miserable time was had by many.

I was at FT Benning,GA in Jan 73 going through the IOAC. My first wife, a very capable RN, drove through the 20” of snow to get me to Martin Army Hospital. That was normal driving for us as I was from NY. She was from Omaha, NE.I do not recall people in a panic then.
