To: Sub-Driver

Just curious. Was the term “settled science” ever used before the global war— I mean, climate change topic arose? Seems like an odd concept, anyway, since the history of science is man continually proving himself wrong.

I think they stole it from the abortion crowd who loved saying Roe v Wade was “settled law” back during the Alito and Roberts confirmations. Of course law is never any more “settled” than science.
