You mentioned Joe Hill. Joan Baez sang a beautiful old gospel like song (acapella) years ago. Too mad it may have been inspired by some communist.
That Joan Baez song made my skin crawl.... It was like a cat fight slowed town to 33rpm. Yuch!
The song is, I believe, I Saw Joe Hill Last Night. Haunting, if untrue. Seegar sang it also. Whoever wrote that was far more talented than Joe.
