Gun safety activists. Even the puppet master mx. mark kelley-giffords weighs in. No mark. What's "remarkable" is that someone with the comprehension skill of a gerbil(you) actually got in to the military and became an astronaut. Go back to your enclave in AZ and leave us alone.

It’s too dangerous to ignore 17 trillion in debt, and then boast about cutting out a billion dollars in spending.

I know this guy is prepping to run for office, but he better choose a more anti-gun state or he’s just wasting his time.

Agreed. Elected officials should be listening to their constituents. And, at the same time, they should be supporting and defending the Constitution, as they swore.
That means supporting the Second Amendment, along with all the others, even in the face of heart-tugging libtard gibberish that has NOTHING to do with appropriate fedgov responsibilities.

Only to a liberal is there so much gun violence that we should ban guns but if you want a gun to protect yourself from that violence you are just being paranoid.

NASA is really a socialist military fund siphoning globalist entreprize. Not surprized Mr. Bureaucrat astronaut thinks only him can be one. He probably would hand the money to the Russian space program since he is a demoralized tool.

Why should anyone put much faith in what a shooting victim or family member of one has to say about the second amendment or gun control? Do these people automatically become experts somehow? They are obviously (and justly so) BIASED. They can’t be OBJECTIVE. They should get compassion, not a soapbox.

In the new ad, Giffords says that 9 out 10 Americans support background checks. They make it harder for criminals and the mentally ill to get guns, she says. That may be true, but why is the type of gun and the serial number part of the background check? How does that help keep criminals and the mentally ill from getting guns? We are not stupid. We know what you really want.

The Homicide rate for the United States dropped by half in the last 20 years, as the number of firearms in circulation doubled and the number of concealed carry permits sky-rocketed. The rate of homicides with guns has also been cut in half over the same period.
It is very dangerous to pass laws for emotional reasons. We end up with things like prohibition, the drug war, the income tax, and the Spanish American war.

I am truly sorry for Ms. Giffords but her self-serving vitriol and ignoring her/our Constitutional right to protect ourselves is wearing more than a little thin. Gun control will not stop madness nor help control violence. There are enough laws on the books now where only half a dozen would do, trying to stop - what? Weren't there any armed guards near the day you were shot...would that have helped or did it?
