Oxfam supports “Palestinian” terrorists
against Israeli children and women and elderly.
Why does anyone pay any attention to what entertainers and athletes do or say?
Screw Oxfam.
This brings to mind something that Golda Mier (sp?) said - Oxfam hates Israeli children more than it loves Palestian ones.
I was upset when my wife came home with that thing.
If I’d known it was Israeli made I would have had her buy two.
Your objections might have unintended consequences, Oxfam.
They pay attention to celebs and football, and especially celebs DURING football, as well a their news media favorites, brcause they have shoved God out of their lives
People think God can be shoved out and that no one will replace Him, but the objectified female, such as this one, does so
One of my favorite quotes comes from Robert Heinlein, “The United States has become a place in which professional athletes and entertainers are mistaken for people of significance.”
Very true. I recall from the movie “Gettysburg” how Harrison’s formerly an actor and currently a spy, place in the world was described at the end: that one of Lee’s subordinates ran into him after the war, and they spoke, but since Lee’s subordinate was a gentleman and Harrison “a player” it wasn’t a long conversation.
Similar thing happened two weeks ago on Downton Abbey (wife makes me watch - I swear!). The Lord relegated the accomplished opera singer to her room, but was browbeat by his wife (hmmmm I’m sensing a theme here) into having her down at the main table for dinner.
What is Oxfam and how do you get rid of it?
People pay attention because their politicians are not listening to them.
Note just yesterday the thread where it was discussed how celebrity Michele is endorsing Subway Foods.
This is a two way street. Gone are the days when a private company could sell or not sell, to anyone without coming under some sort of reproach.
Much like Germany pre-Hitler, the shunning of businesses they don’t fit the politically correct perceptions, will have one of two things happen.
In many ways, a portion of our population is culturally moving into the realm of brownshirt business models. We are not watching an odd play of events taking place in New York, everyone knows what the Gov. said and now what the Mayor of NYC supports, yet...there is a commercial running offering a 10 tax exemption to bring your business or start your business in New York. Is that only restricted to politically correct businesses?
Why does anyone pay attention? Because the ridicule of not being PC correct is total destruction.
When Rome was falling apart they didn’t bring bread to the masses, they brought entertainment to distract the masses from their pitiful lives. The Roman elites understood exactly what the masses craved...an escape from reality.
Some things have not changed, except not the model has been tweaked to not only act like a distraction, but be used as a political tool to control the meme.
Tell Oxwhatever to go pound commie, muzzie, racist sand.
One person in three in the world lives in poverty. Oxfam is determined to change that world by mobilizing the power of people against poverty.
Around the globe, Oxfam works to find practical, innovative ways for people to lift themselves out of poverty and thrive. We save lives and help rebuild livelihoods when crisis strikes. And we campaign so that the voices of the poor influence the local and global decisions that affect them.
We work directly with communities and we seek to influence the powerful to ensure that poor people can improve their lives and livelihoods and have a say in decisions that affect them.
In all we do, Oxfam works with partner organizations and alongside vulnerable women and men to end the injustices that cause poverty.
Just another do-gooder cult I guess. Seems to me people against poverty would be all for something that fight poverty, like a BUSINESS.
Pleasant to look at, but... isn’t she the one who gets semiannual HIV tests? I guess it’s a good thing that Lindsey Lohan isn’t the only “village bicycle” in Hollywood.
Is that Scarlett Johansson?
I loved the first two Iron Man movies. The only part I didn’t like was Scarlet in the second movie, as a Ninja warrior princess, taking out a dozen security guards. What does she weigh, 95 lbs.?
She is an Oxfam spokesperson. So that’s the pickle she is in. Love it when these hollywood do gooders are shown to be hypocrites. This broad would be the first one screaming at sodastream for its “unfair labor practices” if she wasn’t getting paid in ads.
