I remember hearing that scream on the news one morning my TV comes on with Fox News automagically at 6AM and I was still half asleep when I heard it

It woke me up completely and I immediately thought “his chances are OVER”

What I don't understand is how he managed to take over the Democrat party headquarters after that- or was it given to him as a consolation prize?

The “Dean scream” is an example of what can go wrong when a candidate extemporizes on national TV. Political consultants often earn their pay simply by keeping candidates disciplined, focused, and saying and doing predictable things. Contrary to what many candidates seem to think, running for office does not mean that one is suddenly endowed with political sense.

"Dean argued that his scream actually launched a movement that would continue to fuel the Democratic Party into the future."

For some libs, the nation just can't die fast enough.

Such goofy “Daily Show” type kitsch actually appeals to the low-info Millenial voter.

"Did you see Dean's speech last night? Oh my God! Now I hear the cows in Iowa are afraid of getting mad Dean disease. I'm no pundit but it's always a bad sign when at the end of your speech, your aide is shooting you with a tranquilizer gun." —Jay Leno

"Did you see Howard Dean ranting and raving? Here's a little tip Howard — cut back on the Red Bull." —David Letterman

I’m sure there are still a few closet “Deanie Weinies” out there somewhere.
