The dome of the rock. Was not long before the false prophet's death that this was constructed. Many Moslems have the picture on their walls; I know of many who do, only to be asked why and they cannot explain it. The city is never mentioned in the koran, is not a center of religious significance by the Moslems, and it is not to this day. The only reason? It was conquered in 637 and remains a thorn in the side for Israel and the Jewish people.

I forget which book mentions it, but in Islamic scripture it is claimed that Mohammed visited Jerusalem in some kind of vision.
