Your kids will have arrest records, no matter what happens in court next week.

Yes. We learned that ugly truth - along with the ugly reality that we are guilty until we prove our innocence in court.

Even when charges are thrown out of court (as was my SIL's bogus charge) we learned that the charge will remain on her record, and she can expunge it after a year and five months after paying a fee and going to court to remove it.

They won’t expunge your arrest record, no matter what they say you can do. You can get the order to expunge, but the cops don’t care if they break the law in retaining the information. There is no such thing as “expunge.”

They are creating a society of law-breakers, and pretty soon people are not going to see the difference between resisting arrest and simply shooting the bastards.
