I know someone who left her young children for her husband to raise. She went out and had a fun time in the business world and rarely saw her children. That has been 30 years ago and then she suffered from early onset Alzheimer's disease. Now she is on a feeding tube and might as well be dead. Makes me wonder if sometimes people get payback for their evil deeds before they die.

Maybe, “the Lord giveth, and the Lord taketh away”. Mostly the unjust seem to thrive, it seems to me.
