Kerry from his service days in Viet Nam was never a true patriot.
Anyone who has to think twice as to whether an oil pipeline from a neighboring ally is in the “national interest” is an enemy or an imbecile.
Kerry is obviously both.
I’m sooooooooooooo angry.....
$6.5 billion (Canadian)
$5.9 billion (US)

10% price difference, hardly a deal breaker when you don't have to depend on Obama's administration.
No hurry to make a decision because the decision is already made.
He denounced his country- now he purports to act in our interest.
This is like a bad dream.
Fools running the asylum. The end must be drawing nigh.
Kerry should have had a bullet in the back of his head in Vietnam!
Following the rivers helps a good bit. As well as that far north the Canadian Rockies are no where near as much trouble as most Americans associate with the Rockies.
John Kerry... isn’t it time for him to go hunting again??? or was it sailing?? or skiing???
what a useless horse faced idiot
I cannot understand for the life of me why our government allows one stupid man decide our country’s best interests on something as important as our oil future and impact on our economy. He is not an elected official! On second thought, why do we allow stupid presidents write executive orders on policy?
what a putz. this kind of thing should be called what it is,, sabotage.. perpetrated by the enemies within.
Back in the days of the Iranian hostage crisis, Ted Kopple would go on tv and announce at the beginning of nightline , “day 148 of the hostage crisis”. We need someone to do that for the Keystone hostage crisis.
That's not how it works. The deal is that in the event of shortages, domestic consumption must be reduced by the same amount that exports are curtailed. We can sell our oil to anyone if the Americans won't take it, and there are two proposals to expand our market:
1. A pipeline and terminal on the west coast for exports to Asia.
2. The Energy East project to reverse the flow of an existing pipeline to Montreal and extend it to New Brunswick, displacing the Venezuelan crude that is sent to the Maritimes.
To all- please ping me to Canadian topics.
Canada Ping!
A nation that doesn’t hang its traitors ends up being ruled by them.
If the pipeline goes to the Canadian coast, we are still free to bid against asian countries for the oil, which could be shipped to California refineries by tanker.
Of course, if the pipeline goes to Oklahoma and Texas it is more difficult for other countries to outbid us for the oil...
Neither Kerry, nor Obama, has the best interest of the US at heart.
The only reasonable question is cui bono? Which Democratic donor(s) make money without a pipeline?
Buffett’s heavily invested in railroads; he doesn’t want any pipelines involved. And you know he had 0traitor’s ear.
this has everything to do about keeping refinery jobs out of texas
It'll take many many years for any pipeline to be built to their west coast, folks in BC gearing up for the fight right now !
