Everything you said is quite logical, but unfortunately we do have a lot of “cut-off-your-nose-to-spite-your-face” “conservatives” (note I put conservatives in quotes, who like to destroy their own, instead of the real enemy and to add insult to injury, feel very virtuous about it).

Notice, even now, even seeing what Obama is doing, they are more interested in getting rid of some Republicans, and giving the Dems an even stronger control of Congress, than putting a serious effort into ensuring Republican control of both Houses of Congress.

I would rather have a minority of steadfast and vocal members who would use every means at their disposal to halt the further erosion of our Rights and Liberties than a feckless majority that would bend-over to ‘reach across the aisle’ in advancing the demise of the Republic.
The House is currently GOP controlled...so where is the push-back? Where is the fight? Where are the speeches on any/all media that would put a mic in front of their face(s)? What difference would it make to have both Houses with GOP majorities when they promulgate every idea/law of their ‘opposition’?!
