Israel’s ongoing settlement construction is damaging efforts to reach a negotiated peace agreement, visiting German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier said on Monday.

Berlin’s top diplomat was in Israel for a 24-hour visit to discuss the peace process, which was largely overshadowed by the death at the weekend of Israel’s controversial former prime minister Ariel Sharon, who was laid to rest on Monday. […]

But the German diplomat dodged a question on possible European Union sanctions against Israel, saying only that he would discuss the matter of settlements with his Israeli counterpart Avigdor Lieberman when they met later on Monday. …

Good.!!!!!!! (There wasn’t even a single solitary proposal revealed in the recent Kerry “ talks” that was even the slightest bit helpful, positive, or peaceful. Until such time as “ talks” are convened on honest and constructive premises, they should be impeded. Stopped. Shut down. Ended. Kaputted. Besides the islamonazis just rejected any deal again anyway. Someday maybe real peace can be discussed but it sure will take different people than Kerry and Abbas!!!!!!! That’s fir sure!)

You’re advocating shutting down Israel building settlements? It’s their land, not that of the “Palestinians”.

It’s Israel’s land and Israel should build build build all the homes and communities and schools and pArks and defense facilities it needs and wants anywhere in its land. Sorry if any confusion. Israel should also just do it and stop discussing its internal housing plans with any foreigners. Just like America and all other sovereign nations do.

That I agree with.

But the more foreigners you involve, the more of their anti-Israel opinions get injected. And of course, there is that monster called the UN . . .

Israel is foolish to even discuss its internal housing plans with meddlesome foreigners. It only makes Israel look weak while placing her in a no- win situation Do u hear of America suspending building permits in, say, Arizona or California ? (Note President Polk deliberately went to war, the Mexican-American war in 1846, to seize the land from them, and only after he sent military spies into Mexico to report back on their defense capabilities. indeed , he ran for office with this very plan).

Not unless you are monitoring the implementation of Agenda 21, and you can't do that through the LSM.

Germany makes no claims on large territories formerly under Germna or Austrian control, which were once home to majority ethnic German populations. The Arabs can do the same.

What do you think the European Union is?

And then you have people like this, who Merkel gave a nod to not too long ago.

Eurabia.

I'm shocked.

No, “Eurabia” is actually mythical, otherwise you’d see lots of Muslims in the European Commission. And countries like the Netherlands would not dare to try to ban Halal slaughter (along with Kosher slaughter of course), never mind “laïcité” France institute a ban on the hijab.

Countries like Hungary don’t have any Muslims to speak of (about 0.06 percent of the total population) yet they have incredible antipathy towards Jews and Israel.

Funny that you are “shocked” that Germany’s Kanzler gave a nod towards those groups who are indeed making claims upon territories formerly under German and/or Austrian control, though. That’s a de-facto claim by the government.

Demographics are destiny. European nationalists are persecuted, Jews forced to flee, indigenous European ethnically cleansed from their homelands, and Muslim immigration continues.

The traitorous Jobbik Party gets funding from Iran. There is plenty of indigenous Jew hatred.

There is a difference between speaking of past historical crimes and revanchism.

I know about Jobbik, but they are not Hungary’s ruling party by far. Fidesz exhibits much of what they represent, by themselves. And demographics are not money, besides; you can’t turn Jobbik and Fidesz into Muslims when they are not.

The Federation of Expellees are revanchist. They do not merely speak of perceived past historical wrongs; they want to reclaim those lands.
