Only caveat is that Christie fired the people responsible and apologized.

Correction: he fired the people HE SAID were responsible. You believe him, automatically, that he had no involvement.

And even if he didn’t order the roads closed, he did nothing while they stayed closed for four days, and didn’t fight to get to the bottom of why it was happening. Some “hands on problem-solver”. This was big, arrogant government making life worse for average people, and Chris Christie - even if he didn’t cause it - didn’t do squat to solve it.

I hold the possibility he knew as well he did not know. It would seem odd to me that when he allegedly learned that the lane closures were a traffic study it would have taken 2 follow-up questions to find out that was a bogus answer. But on the other hand, this was a stupid stunt that never hurt the Mayor but immediately bounced to the governors office. Christie is not a stupid person.

I just wish the press would be as tough on Dem or Rep, we need to watch these guys.
