Davila is a reputable scholar.
But the document in question may or may not have validity in that it could, as he has indicated, be a fictional account.
Meanwhile, the enemy within (Islamics in Israel) have been busy digging out and destroying everything they can find of any historical or religious value, including right under the Temple Mount where some early accounts placed the Ark of the Covenant

if it was under there, the Muslims have probably already destroyed it.

we will see... all this is indeed most fascinating!

One needs to consider that the temple mount, Mt Moriah, is much larger than just what is currently considered as “the Temple Mount”. the Calvary escarpment is actually a break which divided the mountain into two halves.

The northern half is (was) outside the city boundary proper and is also there Christ was crucified.

Calvary which is also known as “the place of the skull” is reputed to be where David buried the skull of the giant Goliath. It is also reputed by Ron Wyatt to be where the Ark of the Covenant is buried.

It is interesting to note that the site excavated by Ron Wyatt back in the 90s has/is recently been/being excavated by the Israeli authorities who seem to believe that Ron Wyatt was/is correct in his statements that is where the Ark is located.

It has been stated that many of the Temple treasures have been buried along with the Ark and they will all be brought out when God is ready for them.
