It probably won’t be found, because in the World to Come, people will no longer be concerned with its whereabouts.
It’s mentioned in Revelation (as posted above) and the temple will be rebuilt. I think the fact that the curtain separating the ark was torn on the day Jesus died has significance to Him at least.
