I'm saddened by this story.Sears was an important part of an America that was far superior to the filthy cesspool we have today.I must admit that I'm that I'm glad that I'm much, much,*much* closer to the grave than to the cradle today because I'm convinced that this country's slide toward Third World status (economically, morally and in every other way) will accelerate over the next few years.

I don’t see any chance of this decline being reversed either

“Sears was an important part of an America that was far superior to the filthy cesspool we have today.”

Imagine watching some Asian guy try shoes on with no socks (he was wearing sandals); absolutely disgusting. I’d imagine the reason we’re resembling the Third World is because that is where the “replacement Americans” come from...

I’m with you there! I’m old and glad of it. I hope I die before the final collapse. I feel bad for my grandchildren but as my husband pointed out, they will not have known any different way of life than what exists today so they may have lower expectations. It’s not like those of us who lived in and came to maturity in the 40’s, 50’s, and even the 60’s when America was a completely different place.
