My parents shopped at Sears during the 40,s 50,s and I loved the foot x-ray machine in the shoe department. I was in love with the escalators too and don’t forget the popcorn machine. :)

My husband’s family (including his siblings) bought all of their appliances at Sears. When my parents first married, they bought some of their furniture at Montgomery Ward. They hated it after that, and never bought anything there again. From then on, their store was Sears.

Ding, ding!

Ah, the heavenly fragrance of Sears hot buttered popcorn! The closest I've come to that flavor is the "buttered popcorn" Jelly Belly candy.
