WASHINGTON, DC -- U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, released the follow statement regarding President Obama's "Promise Zones" announcement:
"It's altogether fitting that President Obama is today talking about income inequality because income inequality has increased dramatically as a direct result of his economic policies. Out-of-control government spending, debt, taxes, and regulations have killed millions of jobs. Unfortunately, rather than stop Washington's job-killing policies, President Obama proposes yet more government spending and debt. People need jobs. All of America needs to be a real 'Promise Zone'--with reduced barriers to small businesses creating private-sector jobs--and we should start by repealing every word of Obamacare, building the Keystone pipeline, abolishing the IRS, and rolling back abusive regulations.
Woo Hoo!Someone who GETS it!
You've just figured out Jim gets it? grin
LOL!!! Nope. A politician! :-)
I truly hate and despise these leftist (and violently).
First they attack conservative economic principles before they propose them in small “doses” in “zones” always targeted to areas of failed socialism experiments.
Wake up America and quit buying into their lies.
The should be called Broken Promises Zones....
Then submit legislation to do it. Talk alone isn't going to accomplish anything.
“Promise Zones”
Reminds me of the ‘New Economic Plan’ under lenin in the Soviet Union.
BTTT
Amen, amen!! That's my Senator!
Yes, it is!
Sounds like a communist five year plan.
What is this “Promise Zone” stuff - somebody should remind Obama that evil Republicans were establishing “Urban Enterprise Districts” back in the days when Jack Kemp was whatever he was in the federal government - you’d think ‘rats would be embarrassed to focus attention on the fact that it’s taken them this long to come around to the idea....
I'm suspicious. I can't imagine Democrats allowing a free market for any reason.
It should not be hard to show that just about every invisible “suit of clothes” sported by the Obama camp is very visible with the Cruz ideas.
But that’s probably just lagniappe. Doing something constructive about the cruel Obamacare debacle will be the main selling point. IMHO. Obamacare even hoses the welfare set!
He would shred The Pantsuit in a debate.
She's going after him next.
It is more than likely hollow. But just wait for the Democrat proposal to actually get outlined to see exactly where it IS hollow.
Then submit legislation to do it. Talk alone isn’t going to accomplish anything.
Or don’t you understand we flip House Reps every two years because they tend to run DC Trough after the first few months of office, and begin to detest their constituents.
How about do it now so you have something to run on in November?
