Does that mean if mine is stolen I can ask them and they will help find it?

And .. this is why I opted for repairing my old car and not buying a new one.

And .. why I turn off the GPS in my mobile phone. I do turn it on if I make LONG trips into unfamiliar territory - just for my safety.

Time to buy and invest in GPS blockers.

well I love Mustangs too, but good old Ford was a Nazi and now we learn his company is secretly spying on us (all this under the new IslamoNazi regime in WashDC)

hey, you younger people.. you’re gonna have to live, or die, under all this. The new Brown Shirts are being hired and trained as you read this, and armed to the teeth too, and they will have computer dossiers on every single thing you’ve ever said, done, typed, or written, and also your medical records, your financial records, your tax records, your legal records, everything.

Enjoy, my young friends. I’m nearly out of here already, its all yours now....

(so sorry my generation let this happen to you!!!!!!)

Just how can one disable this? Will a 1/4 inch drill in the right place do it?

“By the way, we don’t supply that data to anyone”

Right. I believe them, don’t you?

“I’ll respect you in the morning”
“The check’s in the mail”
“If you like your insurance company, you can keep it”

“”We know everyone who breaks the law, we know when you’re doing it. We have GPS in your car, so we know what you’re doing. By the way, we don’t supply that data to anyone,” he told attendees.”

Try telling that to the Ford owners who happen to shop at Target. That data Ford is collecting may not be formerly ‘shared’, but it is only as secure as the computer network that it is being stored on.

“We know everyone who breaks the law, we know when you’re doing it. We have GPS in your car, so we know what you’re doing. By the way, we don’t supply that data to anyone,”

So, when a couple of witnesses say it was my car outside the Sac-O’-Suds when the robbery and murder took place, but I know I was 50 miles away, you won’t supply the data to prove it wasn’t me when I ask for it?

The guy is an idiot.
He’s marketing ideas that are
not appealing to the average customer
and then trying to impress the tech world.

Your phone can do all these same things that
can effect your privacy too.

...we don't supply that data to anyone," he told attendees.

Rather, he said, he imagined a day when the data might be used anonymously and in aggregate...

Bullcrap, any databank such as this will ultimately be use for nefarious purposes.

And car purchasers are footing the bill for the devises that track them.

Now we won’t have to pull over for traffic tickets, they’ll be automatically charged to our bank accounts.

I can see some uses for storing OnStar metadata.
1) When your Car is stolen, OnStar can locate your car.
2) When your Teenager borrows the car to go to the Library on a Friday night, you can validate the cars location Saturdat morning.
3) Engineers can study a cars total life metadata to improve performance and reliability of future models.

OnStar is a HUGE problem, and I would like a 100% disconnect
1) Onstar can listen to in car conversations. Really, if I am talking to my Lawyer, or a supplier?
2) I do not like the idea of my cars total life metadata folded into all my other metadata and used by the Government for Just what purpose? Can someone explain why 0bama launched this spying program?

I had to look again at his name. I thought it was Chris Farley. This guy may wish he was dead after that stupid boast.
