Several recent court cases have resulted in small business owners, who create the wares and services that they sell, being ordered by a judge to sell their custom-made products (e.g., wedding cakes and floral arrangements) or services (e.g., wedding photography) to gay couples despite the small business owners' refusal to do so based on their religious principles.
If the business in question sold standard, mass-produced items, such as rings, then denying gay couples the right to purchase such things would be clearly discriminatory in the same way that a realtor would be discriminating if they refused to show a house that was for sale to any and all interested potential buyers. The sexual orientation of the buyers should not be an issue in that sort of transaction.
However, the sensitivities of gay couples who claim to feel slighted is not the real issue. The plaintiff in a recent wedding cake related suit, one David Mullins, is reported to have said:
Being denied service by Masterpiece Cakeshop [the defendant] was offensive and dehumanizing especially in the midst of arranging what should be a joyful family celebration.
While vigorously defending the plaintiffs' claims that they have a right not to be offended, the judge, the ACLU, and others in the LGBT community seem to be ignoring (in this particular case) the rights of the baker who chose not to fulfill the plaintiffs' request.
Most people would immediately think of the 1st Amendment's protection of freedom of religion, but in truth that is not the most relevant part of the Constitution here. It is the 13th Amendment, Section 1, which should be the controlling part of the legal debate in this situation.

Until them, go harass someone on your hate level
Consider what the purpose is in not giving anyone anything whose thinking you disagree with. Or is it just hatred of a particular misguided sort
I’m done
Your language is over the top and offensive and distracting. What do you call lesbians? Do you also replace the word “nazi” with “jew killers” every time you say it? It’s a matter of maturity here. Your contempt is acknowledged. But I could hardly see your legal argument past all the fudgepacking (although I must admit you then saying a Suprem Court case would be a “crapshoot” made me laugh involuntarily... dammit.).

Who knows exactly what witches’ brew of motives stews in their heads. I want to say, to be fair, this group of show-off loudmouths has even seized the “gays’” own show. It sounds like the same cause on the surface — but it isn’t. This is not driven by twisted sex passion — this is driven by hate for society. Even sinning had more integrity than this only a few decades ago. And quite frankly the older sinners would have told you (and most of the newer ones WILL tell you by means of their actions) that “marriage” was about the most sex passion chilling thing they could think of. The most energizing hook ups did not come in a dedicated partnership. They came in the wild, sometimes without even seeing the partner! I have some spiritual theories about why and it’s more complex than simply blaming the devil (as fervently as he is involved in such things). It has to do with the meager resources the devil has to weave such illusions. It’s got to look like it came from God and too much reality spoils it. Ironically if we EXPECTED all homos to marry that would probably put most of their passion fires out pretty blessed quick.
Both of you gals are missing the mark but in different ways.
It’s not rocket science. Bless your enemies never dropped out of the gospel. Cut it round or cut it square it stays the same.
Now why should we bless someone like that? Well Christ said so, for starters. But Christ is the God that said come let us reason together — He does not say things just because He threw dice in a corner and came up with it. He’s got a plan and it’s not what worldlings might tend to think when faced with someone who’s causing trouble.
That’s my point. Do point out where I missed that
If you agree then I have no quarrel. It’s hard to follow an argument that has a lot of she said I said. Peace? Anyhow the way to win an argument like the Lord does is to point out what is right and its advantages.
And anyhow, don’t get all brown on someone else because they aren’t blessing their enemies. The best lessons are lived. And of course I wish both of you blessings. I can understand the “starve them of resources” argument but that’s worldly. God’s answer is to strategically offer the sinner resources by which he or she might be able to change his or her game from cursed to blessed. (We also call it repenting.) That even works for homos, but the perceived cooties factor tends to dissuade that.
Oh thanks for the tip
If you want to criticize me read what I said or stay put of it geeze
Oh. You need to back off. I did not attack anyone. I defended myself. Stay out of it or read the posts
That's where I think his defense team screwed up - they should have replied to the judge that he did NOT make wedding cakes to "others." He ONLY made wedding cakes for those who did not violate his religious beliefs. Because it's literally true. The judge my reply that he did not post that, but he might respond that he never needed to post it before, because the subject never came up. And it's new even for State laws - and so it's a fault of the State, in not providing guidelines concerning commercially required religious notifications.
And by the way, why don't any of these homosexuals try this on a MUSLIM bakery?
Maybe I’m a bit unclear at times. Both of you missed the bless your enemies part. But in different ways. Like I said. Trying to be friends here, but I don’t always get the grace quite right. I’m glad that God does or I’d never get anything good done at all. I need help.
Like you said, geeze (Jesus).
Ma’am, I won’t back off till you accept God’s grace and pass it on :-)
BLESS YOUR ENEMIES even here.
Now bless you. Whether or not you want it.
I said exactly what you’re saying so read my posts and back off
You said it with what attitude?
ill be glad to bake a cake for you..special price: $ 5,000
The only reason that I got into the discussion with stanne was because I saw the hypocrisy in her comments where she said that she wouldn’t spend a dime at Disney, Home Depot, etc because they support the homosexual agenda while, at the same time, trying to justify her 10 year support of a homosexual hair stylist. She said “We dont talk about certain things”.
To me, if you’re against the homosexual agenda as she says she is, then you don’t pay one for 10 years to do your hair. You find someone else. I wouldn’t knowingly pay a communist to work on my house - I don’t agree with their lifestyle, hence, I’m not going to financially support it! When I’m looking for people to do any kind of work for me, be it a hair stylist or a plumber, I try to find like-minded folks.
