I understand that Arizona has open primaries and that McCain’s money brought democrat crossover voters to get him the nomination in the primary.
In the general I understand that it is easy for any republican to get elected as the state is predominately GOP.
So it looks as if McCain is indeed a genuine democrat under republican label or RINO.

IMHO Lettuce McLame won because he had $10-12 MILLION left from his Pres election and ran ads on all TV channels every 15 minutes. JD Hayworth raised a couple of million at best and could not compete against that onslaught given that many voters are considered LIV. McLame had Hayworth kicked off his radio talk show because it was "unfair".

Not so much any more - Today the state is turning PURPLE with the influx of libtards from CA because they are so anti-business and eco-freaks over there. The last election we now have more RAT Reps than GOP-ers. The political landscape today in AZ is not anything like when I moved here in 1965 - BACK then it was a REAL RED state.
In 2012 RATS picked up seats in the US House and GOP did not.
US House 2012
AZ - RATS pick up two seats and GOP loses one
