to be fair, the NRA and gun owners did a damn fine job a year ago facing down the left on gun control. The Senate blinked big time and a lot of Dems in red states and districts got awfully quiet. Charlie’s point is right...too many duck down in fear of the left in the Obama era. This case is one of the few where people stood up and took them on. Certainly none of the loser GOP political class in Washington have.
Problem is that none of those in DC fear us anymore. They do as they want rather than represent the people.
You can bet that anyone who wants to run Egypt has to watch their P’s and Q’s because they know people won’t be sitting on their hands waiting for a miracle. If that were the case, Morsi would still hold the reins.
I will say it again, the only thing to cause them some real fear was a very active and angry Tea Party when people started flocking and hitting the streets in large numbers.

Yes, but please tell us why the NRA continues to support RINOs simply because they are pro-gun? Simply being pro-gun isn’t near enough. They need to say adios to the likes of Cornyn and other “senators” who in spite of their supposedly “pro gun” positions, screw the country in many other ways. In this regard the NRA is just like the US Chamber of Commerce!
They are just not going to have anything to do with providing birth control.
The problem the admin is going to have with this is that these women will go to jail instead, but they are not going to have anything remotely to do with providing anyone birth control

Anyone can pick up a $2.00 copy of or google ‘Humanae Vitae’ read it and have a complete understanding of what the nuns and what our culture is facing
But these nuns are not going to have anything to do with providing birth control
And we can stand up for their religious rights or parse it into some kind of judgment about how they should go along, birth control is no big deal
But the truth is, according to common sense and pope John Paul II, the philosopher, birth control is the root of a lot of evil and abortion, namely, and not the other way around
And the nuns will never comply
