Quinn and Rose are off the air, (temporarily, I hope!) Gone, but DEFINITELY not forgotten! Meanwhile, our friendly group of dedicated FReeper Q&R fans will meet in our usual spot - same time, same station - as we always have! So grab your coffee - or whatever you choose to start your day - and drop in for some political chit-chat, or just to shoot the breeze! We are all coming from - or going to - work, but we all stop in to say hi! Feel free to join us!

Snap!
Wow You’re still up! KEEP WARM! I’m just getting ready to go try to start the truck. This should be interesting.....probably not in a good way, LOL!
-11 degrees here.
Took mr s to the hospital yesterday. A-fib through the roof. They got the heart slowed down and admitted him. That’s why I was up late.
Oh, and I’m going to kill the stupid dog. (details later)
Halfway home I noticed the alternator/battery gauge acting up. Then the temp gauge went up and the engine started to overheat.
Made it home barely. Seems like the radiator cap either wasn't tight or started leaking. Mrs p6 is going to have to find another way to work and I'll have to be outside checking the truck...while the freaking Harley sits inside nice and warm.
Like I have to keep telling myself during this BO administration....better days are coming....BETTER DAYS ARE COMING!
Hope yunz all are warm and can get around if you have to. Roads ARE icy! Be careful!
Prayers up!
Will you be going to the hospital today? Be careful! The roads are NOT pleasant!
Yep. My boss pretty much gave a pass to anybody who didn’t want to brave the cold today. I was planning on going to work. I’ll be at the hospital instead. They put him on an IV drip with meds to slow the heart down. His pacemaker kicked in when the heart rate got too low a couple of times. He looked good and was in good spirits when I left him last night. I took him a Subway hoagie and a coffee. He hadn’t eaten all day. Food service was shut down due to the time. Nurse just pretended she didn’t see it.
Oh - the dog; Got home around 10:30. Put dog on the lead outside. Looked out a minute later and he was gone. I was out there on the street in minus 3 temps chasing the dog. The neighbors must think I’m certifiable! He eventually came home. He was out on the porch. I had the door open to coax him in (he wanted me to chase him). He just looked at me. So I called the cat (here kitty, kitty, kitty) because he’s jealous of her. He came in right away! lol!
I’m half afraid to turn on the Jeep. Filled the tank yesterday. Light was on indicating one of the tires is low. I hope you get the problems with the Durango fixed. Surely you wouldn’t walk in this weather????!!!!
Yes, I keep telling myself the same thing: Better days are coming - although if Mr S has to go on disability (both his docs want him to), it will be tough for awhile. We’ll deal with it somehow. I’d love to turn off the cable and get that Roku thingy. I’m tired of paying for the 95% of stations I don’t watch!
After all that I'm surprised you are up this early! You are going to feel it eventually.
Meanwhile without getting into the "when I was a kid and going to school" stuff...
It's cold...dang cold. Often I've been outside walking to work in this kind of weather. There have been times when power outages cut heat to the house so we huddled in one room to keep warm. The one thing that always got us through it was thinking about Washington's army at Valley Forge.
It was just as cold, maybe colder. They didn't have a warm place to get away from the weather. They were lucky if they had a little food. Some didn't have warm clothes or even shoes. But they endured, fought and won our Republic.
That has been a huge inspiration for this family!
I’m up because of the dog (again) >:-(
Yes, we are incredibly blessed. I’ll try to remember their sacrifice. We have it really good because of those brave men.
That was the first thing I thought of last night. Then I remembered you saying that sometimes in the cold you close parts of the house and move into a couple of rooms.
If I wasn't still sick we'd have the spare bedroom closed off but I've been staying in there to keep away from mrs p6. She seems to have gotten over this cold so I don't want her to get it back.
Sunday I spent the entire day in the back bedroom being sick, working on the desktop...we had a power outage and the video card fried...and watching the farm show.
She got to watch all the Sunday shows she likes without me interrupting.
Sorry to hear about Mr. S, but glad that he’s doing better. Prayers for him.
I can’t believe they made me go to work in this cold, but here I am. I definitely didn’t want to leave the bed this morning.
LOL!! dumb dogs!
Prayers up for your hubbie! Boy, he’s having a time of it, isn’t he? :o(
Yep, the poor guy’s been through the wringer. I talked to him awhile ago. He said they got his heart rate normalized. His cardialogist will be in today to see him. I hope he goes home today. I’m taking extra clothes for him. He was wearing business clothes - shirt and tie. Nothing to prepare him to go out in this weather! Speaking of which - yay! It’s now minus 9 instead of minus 11. At least it’s going in the right direction!
still no word on what happened to quinn and rose, as popular as they were (with national audience) and as much as i looked forward to hearing quinn in the morning makes me believe they’ve been muzzled (and blackballed).
our liberty/freedom is being whittled away day by day...the left leaves nothing (but destruction) in their wake
should’ve been phrased as a question, as intended, let me try again...
any word on what happened to quinn and rose, and why they haven’t been picked up by another operator (interested in profit / audience)?
Hi S Spade.
Sorry, I was out all day - mostly at the hospital.
I believe - and I could be wrong since it’s ‘through the grapevine’ - that they are under a 6 month non-compete agreement. I heard rumor that they may have something in the works.
All of this is hearsay, of course, except that they seemed to indicate that there are possibly good things ahead.
sneakers, thanks for the update / info...i hope you’re right / good things in the works. glad your husband is ok
