> We now know how the Russians felt as they read Tass.
The Russians had a pun using the names of their two largest news services.
One was named Pravda, which means “Truth”, and the other was named Isvestia, which means news.
In the Russian it’s a pun because of the names of the news agencies, but it rings true in modern America even without the pun aspect.
“In the Truth (Pravda) there is no News (Isvestia), and in the News (Isvestia) there is no Truth (Pravda).
Keep in mind that we won Tet, we won Vietnam. We got a peacetreaty with Canada as a peace keeper. Only after we left did they invade in violation of their treaty. The 1972 bombings brought North Vietnam to the table and they signed a peace treaty.
After their invasion they were faced with the fact that communism doesn’t work, and had to abandon it. They even invaded Cambodia and stopped Pol Pot from murdering the rest of Cambodia.
