Good evening, ML!!

***HUGS***

It's great to see you this evening! Another piece of Brit metal for your consideration.

"Riamh nár dhruid ó sbairn lann!"

Genuflectimus non ad principem sed ad Principem Pacis!

Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name. (Isaiah 49:1 KJV)

That one is lovely!

It looks very similar to the 1971 Honda CB350 on which I learned to ride.

On Cobblestone streets in Boston year round.

The story of HMS Glowworm is is remarkable..and barely recalled this day. In many ways this saga of a destroyer charging a heavy cruiser/battleship presages the Battle off Samar (in Leyte Gulf); superbly told in "The Last Stand of the Tin Can Sailors. It's must reading.

IMHO, likely the best retelling of the Battle of the Atlantic is a novel, Nicholas Monserrat's "The Cruel Sea." It's magnificent, and well worth trying to find. The movie ( of the same title) was a fairly faithful rendition.
