That would cut down on the lake effect snow.

Ain't happening.....Talked to a friend in northern Michigan's Boyne City yesterday and since Nov. 1 they've recorded over 90 inches of snow while Gaylord, just south and in the middle of the snow belt, has gotten approx. 120 inches.........That's incredible snow and there are still almost 3 months left........

If there is any bright side to all of this it's that the state's lake levels should rise again to close to normal levels.......

Usually the Great Lake states will get a lot of the snow during some part d of the winter but usually not the entire winter. In the current case the Lakes may freeze over and that will stop the snow. Or, the prevailing weather patterns can change and the NW flow will stop.
