Our only son was killed by a drunk driver that was his own age.
It was not an intentional act, just poor judgement.
We forgave him and asked the judge for leniency at his trial so that two lives were not lost by the mistake.
We live with his loss every day, but harboring hate in your heart will only make it worse.

Read Matthew 6:14 & 15 and then make your own call on what you feel a Christian needs to do.

God bless

May God bless you. You should change your screen name. I can’t imagine the strength you exhibited.

I’m very, very sorry about the loss of your son and I admire you for your strength to forgive.

Thank you for posting.

As Christians, we have no choice but to forgive - or at least try to forgive - because Christ ordered us to do so.

Seventy times seven.
