Teens in Muslim burkas try to rob Delco gun shop (Delaware County, PA)

Most teenagers do dumb things. But not trying-to-rob-Joe-Galiano dumb.

Who is Joe Galiano? He's the owner of Suburban Armory, the gun shop on MacDade Boulevard in Collingdale Borough, Delaware County. He is surrounded by guns, including the one on his hip. Like his .45-caliber pistol. Can't miss it.

Despite this fact, police say two teenagers dressed in burkas walked into his store this afternoon, pulled a gun on Galiano and tried to stick him up. Galiano, less than thrilled about having a man in female Muslim garb pointing a silver handgun at him inside his own store, decided not to comply, but instead to make use of his own gun.

Does any know the reason for not identifying a criminal under the age of 18?

Seems to be a discretionary thing. Last week, there were a few Wisconsin teens on a crime spree from there to New Mexico, and they ID'd them on the news sites. The fifteen-year-old girl's picture was front and center in the article.

The best shooting I every read about was a local pawn shop owner about 20 years ago. The armed “yoots” came in to rob him and a customer. The store owner grabbed his 5-shot S&W J-frame and started shooting. ALL 5 shots hit the targets (three in one, two in the other). One perp ended up dead and one was paralyzed from the waist down. He is now in jail. The police had the shop video and the owner fired the shots double action in just 3 or 3 seconds. He was not charged with anything. Unfortunately, he decided to close down about 6-months after that.

I think the Shop Owner knew what he was dealing with and purposely missed to scare the Yoots. If he felt like he was defending his Life, the Magazine of his Pistol would have been emptied.
