LONDON, ONT. - Mother Teresa Catholic secondary school is turning a second-floor office into an Islamic prayer room -- the first high school in the city, private or public, to do so.
Carpet will soon cover the tile flooring, speakers will be installed and prayer mats purchased to provide the school's Muslim students, estimated at around two dozen, with a quiet and private place to pray.
The idea has been in the works since the end of the last school year after a group of Muslim students lobbied administration to create the space.
"They're members of our school community. We want to ensure that all our students feel welcome, that they feel that they belong," said Principal Ana Paula Fernandes.
The prayer room, expected to be completed by the end of September, is located on a busy stretch on the second floor, just metres from the school's large chapel. "That was very important to ensure that it was included in the main building, and not tucked away somewhere," Fernandes said.

My own alma-mater (Seattle University, Jesuit) has been hard-left for at least 20 years. Their latest enthusiasm is disinvesting from fossil-fuel companies. Their philosophy department (my former major) includes pro-abortion activists and animal rights activists and 9/11 truthers.
So, now this catholic school is officially sanctioning prayer to pagan moon gods. Fascinating, to say the least.

Visited my son’s Jesuit HS long after he graduated and the first student I see is dressed in Muslim garb and sports one of those sinister beards.
No more contributions, that’s for sure.
Don’t read too much into the religion angle—the Church has zero actual control over the Catholic system in Ontario—it is effectively run jointly by the Teachers’ Unions, elected boards, and the government. Priests and Bishops can get in if they ask and receive permission—otherwise, no. A number of years ago, the Cardinal in Toronto tried to block the appointment of a heretic to the position of head of theology in a Catholic High School, and it was ruled that it was none of his business.
Wonderful the muzzies will pray for the opportunity to burn down the school and slit the throats of the Catholics.
