To: Little Bill
My family is from the West of England the only way to get good data before 1850 is Church Records. My family has been in the same village for about 700 years, those of us that didn't flee to the Colonies. We were trades men so we can research Town records for indentures of apprenticeship. Men were two to four years older than the women and they were established, Journeymen.

Yes I know and agree, my family arrived here in the 1630s, marriage records are not a new invention, nor something that can be shouted down. It is how things like marriage age can be researched.

No Mill Hands in my family. Went West in the Earlie’s, get way from 1850’s.
