I am not so foolish as to believe that Justice Sotomayor wil suddenly become the reincarnation of William Rehnquist, but this does give one pause to think.
There is a long held tradition of Supreme Court Justices turning tail on those who appointed them for ideological reasons. Something in that lifetime tenure frees the spirit of the judge to act more in line with the true inner man (or woman.)
To think that she would suddenly become an advocate for 2A rights or curtailing the bureaucratic abuses of the EPA would be a real stretch, but this makes one think that perhaps there is a thin glimmer of integrity in the self-described "wise Latina."

We can hope. I want to know what her angle is as it seems quite out of character. You KNOW libs will be screaming and calling her Reagan when it becomes widely known. But you may well be right.

That thin glimmer of integrity might just be fear of Pope Frankie. What if his Popeness actually made a judgement about good or evil occasionally?
