Is America About To Reach A Breaking Point? (Patriots Prepare!)
Zero Hedge ^ | 31 DEC 2012 | Tyler Durden

Posted on 12/31/2013 9:46:13 AM PST by BCW

In America today, there are close to 50 million people living in poverty and there are more than 100 million people that get money from the federal government every month. As the middle class disintegrates, poverty is climbing to unprecedented levels. Even though the stock market has been setting record high after record high, the amount of anger and frustration boiling just under the surface in our nation grows with each passing day.

And now extended unemployment benefits have been cut off for 1.3 million unemployed Americans, and it is being projected that a total of 5 million unemployed Americans will lose their benefits by the end of 2014. In addition, as I have written about previously, 47 million Americans recently had their food stamp benefits reduced. The conditions for a "perfect storm" are certainly being created. So how much longer will it be until we see all of this anger and frustration boil over in the streets of our major cities? Is America about to reach a breaking point?

If you think that the title of this article is "alarmist", you probably have not been paying attention to what has been happening over the past few weeks. For example, a 600 person brawl broke out at at movie theater in Jacksonville, Florida just the other day...

I could be part of your .22 problem.

I don’t know what put God on my case. I was such an idiosyncratic loser, as far as attitude was concerned. You could have called me Mr. Cranky, Mr. Hate.

Well, God must have seen the potential in me that nobody else could. Oh folks thought I was brilliant sometimes, and true, I was, but relationships? I was horrible. Absolutely horrible.

I was lacking the love of God. Not just big time. Huge time.

God has taken 24 of my latter years to begin correcting that and now it’s tangible.

To be fair, the bible isn’t telling anyone at ALL to stock up on worldly goods.

God has given a stark PROMISE. It’s those who have received Him (or now receive Him) as a child who will understand. I’m understanding it now. I could go broke, have zero, and I’d still be fed and clothed and sheltered satisfactorily. And I’ve SEEN that play out in my life. I had to become poor in money before I could see it.

I fear for those who think they have a prepper “religion” that will save them, because the actual God will not smile on that.

As for those of us who might HAVE food or weapons or other provisions? Let us do good with them as the Lord brings us occasions to do. Honor the Lord with every bite, with every stitch, with every shot (if shots are needed). Hunting might be a bigger thing for believers with guns, than the need for self defense.

My main concern is that I bought a 30-06 and so far only have ten rounds. and only fifty or so for my .22.

Your best bet for the ought-six is milsurp, look for the M2 ball ammo that is spec'ed for the Garand rifle. JG Sales has some of the South Korean surplus stuff in now. Most rifles with that chambering can use the M2 ammo.

I'm not sure about the .22 stuff now - supply is still sporadic at the retail stores.

And ammo may be a serious issue for those who are thinking in terms of fighting urban wars.

There is no need to fight a needless war, and this may sound like a laughable tautology, but it’s true. Guns COULD prove quite useful for hunting, however. As could more recyclable shooting weapons such as bows and arrows (crossbows)... consider getting some of those (and a powerful one could also serve as anti-personnel defense if worse came to worst).

Dang! Get thee to www.midwayusa.com. 15 brands of 30-06 in stock as of today, but it’s expensive. And, as for .22, it’s a myth. Stuff doesn’t exist. Make. Every. Shot. Count.

In general, to figure this one out, I suggest thinking in terms that may be unaccustomed. What’s going to be a way of taking best advantage of God’s provisions to you? Don’t be the sluggard whose hand is buried in the dish and doesn’t take anything back to his mouth. (Which might be an awkward translation but it’s what we have to work with.) Usually being a sluggard is based in fear. Try, as best you can (for some it is difficult) to trust boldly in the Lord for provision and then think in terms of what expresses honor and love to Him. It’s the old, old formula and it works. The Lord is not symbolic. The Lord is real. If anything is symbolic it is the physical contents of this mortal coil.

Even better get something where you can use the projectile over again. Bow/arrow or crossbow.

If the legitimate gun owners in CT and CA submit to registration, it is all over. It is just a matter of time.

Only if guns are idols to you.

If God is your God you will laugh at such attempts. Get your bows and arrows ready, with the modern improvements. The American Indians knew some useful things.

And even registration at the scale they want, if it were obeyed, would likely overwhelm the system.

Sometimes parallels are drawn to Hitler’s Germany, but my impression is that per capita gun ownership was already far below what it is in the USA. It’s a different kettle of fish here.

The Bolsheviks and Red Chinese (and especially the Khmer Rouge most recently) understood that they could only have their slave plantations when those who remembered (and discussed) memories of the “before-time” were around. Today those would be people from roughly 35 years of age and up (Obama’s initial success with young voters was no accident). The rest have to be silenced until they die off, and ObamaCare ensures they won’t linger long.

I don't understand. Maybe I'm reading your paragraph wrong, but the sentences seem contradictory. Are you saying that the 36+ crowd has to be silenced or not (accd. to the marxists)?

Precisely. that is why the Takers consider the Makers to be Suckers of the First Order.

I also want to caution about pulling together a cheering squad for Satan.

Which we can inadvertently, if not willingly, do in our zeal. Base your life around God, I advise. God has these devils on chains (in bonds, per the exact bible terminology). They are present, from the believer’s point of view, as tests and exercises.

Ohhh-hhh! We have a demon squad about to overrun the place!

Well, America is a unique land with respect to the gospel, I believe IMHO. Christian faith has gotten flabby. That doesn’t mean it doesn’t EXIST here. My guess is that many if not most nominal Christians do accept the Christ, but have been spoiled by the easy conditions in this land. We will see challenges but if and when we realize they are present in order to steel and hone our faith, we will be in the homestretch and going yeehaw. (To mix metaphors :-)
