I hate to be the bearer of bad news, dear Kings of Hollywood, but you have been conned.
Let me introduce myself. My name is Christina McDowell, formerly Christina Prousalis. I am the daughter of Tom Prousalis, a man the Washington Post described as "just some guy on trial for penny-stock fraud." (I had to change my name after my father stole my identity and then threatened to steal it again, but I'll get to that part later.) I was eighteen and a freshman in college when my father and his attorneys forced me to attend his trial at New York City's federal courthouse so that he "looked good" for the jury -- the consummate family man.

Indeed. The brokerage industry probably hates this flick.
The best version is said to be Alan Ladd’s which I’ve never seen.
Still a boyish actor trying his hardest to be a man. But I can’t separate actors from their politics and DiCapario is to the left of Che Chevara.
If you avoid liberal idiot actors, you pretty much avoid movies.
Which is pretty much where I’m at.
Which is pretty much where Im at.
Here as well... We have spent less than a hundred dollars on movies in the last twenty five years.
That doesn't count in the second hand dvds we've purchased... F Hollywood.
Because of a studio dispute and copyright problems the Alan Ladd version has not been seen since it came and it was 1949 not 1947 in the US. You can find it on E-Bay available in England which is where I got it. Quality not top but still passable to watch.
Wow. I didn’t realize he was that far to the Left.
You’re right about him being boyish. He just doesn’t exude masculinity.
Many thanks, Sabatini- or maybe Flynn-fan. I’m both.
My mother (who despised the Redford version) thought the only possibility for Jay other than Ladd was Steve McQueen, appealing but ambiguous.
Ditto.

Make sure you read the last sentence below.
A committed environmentalist, DiCaprio has received praise from environmental groups for his activism. He owns an electric Tesla Roadster, a Fisker Karma plug-in hybrid, and a Toyota Prius. He has also installed solar panels on his house. In an interview with Ukula about his film the 11th Hour, DiCaprio cited global warming as “the number-one environmental challenge”.
At the 2007 Oscar ceremony, DiCaprio and former Vice President Al Gore appeared to announce that the Academy Awards had incorporated environmentally intelligent practices throughout the planning and production processes, thus affirming their commitment to the environment, and on July 7, 2007, DiCaprio presented at the American leg of Live Earth. In 2010, his environmental work earned DiCaprio a nomination for the VH1 Do Something Award. The awards show, produced by VH1, is dedicated to honoring people who do good and is powered by Do Something, a New York-based organization that aims to empower and inspire young people.
In 1998, DiCaprio and his mother donated $35,000 for a “Leonardo DiCaprio Computer Center” at the Los Feliz branch of the Los Angeles Public Library, the site of his childhood home. It was rebuilt after the 1994 Northridge earthquake and opened in early 1999. During the filming of Blood Diamond, DiCaprio worked with 24 orphaned children from the SOS Children’s Village in Maputo, Mozambique, and was said to be extremely touched by his interactions with the children. In 2010, he donated $1,000,000 to relief efforts in Haiti after the earthquake.
During the 2004 presidential election, DiCaprio campaigned and donated to John Kerry’s presidential bid. The FEC showed DiCaprio gave $2,300 to Barack Obama’s presidential campaign in the 2008 election, the maximum contribution an individual can give in that election cycle, and $5000 to Obama’s 2012 campaign.
In November 2010, DiCaprio donated $1,000,000 to the Wildlife Conservation Society at Russia’s tiger summit. DiCaprio’s persistence in reaching the event after encountering two plane delays caused then Prime Minister Vladimir Putin to describe him as a “muzhik” or “real man”. In 2011, DiCaprio joined the Animal Legal Defense Fund’s campaign to free Tony, a tiger who has spent the last decade at the Tiger Truck Stop in Grosse Tete, Louisiana. DiCaprio is an activist for gay rights and in April 2013 he donated $61,000 to GLAAD, an organization which promotes the image of LGBT people in the media.
I believe McQueen could have pulled it off. Norman Jewinson did not think McQueen could pull off playing Thomas Crown but he did and did it well so playing Jay Gatsby would have been easy for him to do.
NEVER trust a lawyer or a career politician.
A much more timely film could have been made about the corruption at Fannie Mae, the sex toy bribe of politicians like Barney Frank, Jamie Gorelick's $25million pay off, and the way the Democrats deliberately tanked the economy to run up to "remaking" a new Socialist Utopian Amerika.
You couldn't pay me to see this latest example of sludge from hollyweird.
It looks like these crooks cold called their clients...easiest solution?
hang up
The greed works all the way through the system (the clients wanted to make some fast bucks) and something for nothing dont work
