Federal authorities said Thursday they have arrested and charged a Texas man in connection with the “knockout game,” accusing him of a hate crime for targeting a black man for a vicious street attack.
Most knockout victims that have appeared in news reports have been white, but the Justice Department said in this instance the victim was a 79-year-old black man, and stepped in with federal charges.

Back in 1999, during the Gore / Bush struggle to determine the outcome of the presidential election, much of the media commentary was devoted to explaining the ugly truth of how the election system was basically run on the Honor Sytem.
In other words, the security and integrity of the system is dependent on the honor and the honesty of everyone involved in running the elections. The laws are only as effective as the honesty of people enforcing them.
Now Barack Obama has demonstrated that the same concept applies to the entire government.
The integrity of our entire system of government relies on the impartiality and the honesty of the people in the executive and judicial branches that are Constitutionally charged with executing and enforcing the Constitution and our laws.
When you have a corrupt president, attorney general, executive branch and judiciary branch there is no peaceful recourse to abuse and criminality at the highest levels.

When hundreds of blacks play “knockout” on whites, it’s a “game”. When an epidemic of ONE white on black “knockout” occurs, it’s a hate crime.

I think Holder actually gets a real thrill up his leg seeing how hypocritical he can be.

As rockrr pointed out in # 40, that was a local prosecution. The Texas case is the ONLY one in which the blatantly-politicized Feds have brought charges.
Never mind it being a “hate crime” law with Matthew Shepard’s name on it, whose “story” has been proven false.

I just tried to post this same article link after searching for both hate crime & knockout.

If some lawyer wants to make a name for himself, this would be the case to take. If he does it carefully, he can legally demand that the court determine that hate crime laws only apply to white people, or to dismiss the charges on the grounds of selective prosecution.
If the judge refuses, that alone is grounds for appeal.
He can even provide statements from elected and appointed government officials to the effect that hate crimes only apply to white people, if somehow the door is opened to the inclusion of these statements from those who create public policy.
While the defendant is a violent criminal who deserves the full punishment of the “color blind” law against assault and battery, the hate crime provisions need to be overturned as unconstitutional.
The on-going criminal enterprise that is the Ophonybama Administration has no oversight — it is truly a law unto itself, and is allowed (encouraged?) to give the finger to America, the Constitution and the Rule of Law.
Republicans are aFRaid to bring Articles of Impeachment for fear of being called racist.
That is the Reality we are dealing with.
