It takes a special person to take the physical challenge that the job requires.

A person working in the parcel moving business certainly doesn't need to go to the gym to stay in shape. Add in the fact that most the movement and work take place between dusk and dawn, the people who do that demanding work EARN their pay whether they work for UPS, USPS or FedEx.

You have my respect.

I saw this story earlier and just didn’t care.

Then I read a Daily Mail article about it and had to comment:

Let me provide some insight here that I didn’t garner from comments:

UPS crapped on its employees in August with the spousal healthcare elimination, ostensibly due to Obamacare. But you won’t read about that in any of these articles.

Would YOU be a happy & motivated employee this Christmas???

The Grinch isn’t UPS: Focus frustration on the White House & Congress.

(footnote: We voluntarily withdrew from ‘Commercial Christmas’ 10 years ago...I still don’t care)

When we were dating, LDR, hubby sent me a computer for my birthday. He’d built it himself and preloaded all sorts of software on it for me. It got to the UPS facility in Secaucus and absolutely disappeared off the face of the earth.

Not any more. They gave up that distinction to Home Depot about a decade back, IIRC.

According to a couple of recent websites, the USPS has 130,000 veterans employed and Home Depot has "more than 60,000". I think it's safe to say that those are the top two in the country.

Well, fortunately he’d insured it for full value. Just because. And brought the replacement himself when he visited the next time.

I now associate the Secaucus facility with union graft, fraud and outright theft.
