Jackson is simply another attention whore, like Charlie Sheen, and they are getting their name out in front of this “issue” for publicity.
Being near his age, and also a redneck from the country, I agree completely with his remarks.
The difference here has nothing to do with race.
It's country versus city.
When I had farm jobs while growing up, we enjoyed hard physical work.
Throwing and stacking 70 pound hay bales high on a wagon and/or truck.
Unloading onto a conveyor and stacking them in a hot, dusty hay barn at over 120 degrees.
Shoveling and wheelbarrowing tons, yes, literally tons of cow manure daily.
Then I noticed the difference between the lazy bums from the suburbs and cities while in the USAF.
Race, ethnicity, or other background was irrelevant.
The Mexicans and blacks who grew up working on farms were no different from me.
The urban and suburban ones, black, white and Mexican were useless pains in the rear.
Some of the suburban ones were ok, and a rare few urban ones.
I'm sure Phil is right about the blacks he knew.
Those of us (them included), generally don't whine and complain.
We just roll up our sleeves, and enjoy work.
