If, forced to adopt US laws, there aren’t many Canadians that would take the offer. They actually like their way of life. As a dual US/Canadian citizen it would be sad to see either country assimilated into the other and lose their identity

I'm thinking after Canada is brought into the U.S., England, New Zealand and Australia will not be too far behind.

It's time for the English-Speaking peoples to unite.

What identity? I’m Albertan and more American than most Americans. I don’t identify with tree hugging, or being french, or anything else stereo typical. I only love freedom and want to be with others who do as well.

Canadian identity? What exactly is that???

My step-mother (now deceased) and two step-sisters are American naturalized citizens and to them there is no loss of "Identity"........They're no less or more Canadian now than when they came to the states back in the '60's.
