I say we unite the Western and Southern States and Provinces, extending from Alaska to Texas and across to the Atlantic. The non-decadent counties of such decadent states as California and Colorado can also join. Watch the new, free, oil-rich, manufacturing-rich nation soar economically and in every possible way. Watch everything else degenerate into one big miserable, rotting, decadent Detroit.

Make sure to take Northern Ontario as far east as Renfrew County with you. (The county to the west of Ottawa).
I assume that King Co. WA is too decadent. How about Snohomish?
